	Join us in our second annual Stuff the School Bus drive as we collect school supplies for all city and county school resource centers. Volunteers will distribute supply lists and collect donations at Southside WalMart on Saturday, July 24th from 10:00-1:00. Donations can also be dropped off at the United Way office (333 Broadway, Suite 502). Event sponsored by USEC.

	United Way of Paducah-McCracken County presents our Premier Elimination Dinner Join us for food, fun and a chance to win $5,000! Saturday, June 26 6pm-8pm Purple Toad Winery 4265 Old US Hwy 45 South Paducah, KY 42003 Throughout the evening we’ll be drawing numbers and eliminating them from the prize drawing. 	Since 1994, United Way 5K Run and Fitness Walk has been an annual event for over 500 runners, walkers and volunteers from as far away as Florida. This is also been a wonderful event for the entire family and community groups to enjoy and promote health and fitness. Since 2001, the race has offered children ages 12 and under to participate in the Rehab Associates 1-mile Youth Run. This year the event took place on Saturday, September 26th. 	Community Summit Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Community Summit a huge success. We will be sharing the information gathered with the community in the coming weeks.


	75th Annual Campaign will be Kicking off on September 11th with a celebration in conjunction with the first annual PROJECT UNITED. The Campaign will run September 11 - December 1.

	The largest network of early childhood coalitions in the country in over 350 cities, counties and states in the United States and Canada. SB6 is a community based, public-private partnership of individuals and organizations including United Way, there is a common vision – children ready to succeed when they enter school. SB6 is a multi-sector initiative. It is not an agency or a program and does not provide direct services, except in the case of demonstration or “pilot” projects. 	Every hour of every day, someone in the United States needs essential services - from finding an after-school program to securing adequate care for a child or an aging parent. Faced with a dramatic increase in the number of agencies and help-lines, people often don't know where to turn. In many cases, people end up going without these necessary services because they do not know where to start. 2-1-1 helps people find and give help. 2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that, where available, connects people with important community services and volunteer opportunities. The implementation of 2-1-1 is being spearheaded by United Ways and comprehensive and specialized information and referral agencies in states and local communities.
